OUR SOCIAL ENTERPRISE
WE DONATE $5.00
OF EVERY SALE TO
FIGHT CLIMATE CHANGE
We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work and live, and recognise their continuing connection to land, water and community. We are beyond fortunate to live on such a beautiful part of this planet and intend to keep it this way.
In staying true to supporting Australian companies, we wanted to give back to local foundations who are making positive changes via the Social Enterprise component of our business.
For every handbag sold we donate $5.00 to foundations working to improve the health of the Planet*.
Our Social Responsibilty
Currently we donate to support Australia's first ever Seaweed Permaculture platform, being built just off the coast of Tasmania.
'Why Seaweed Permaculture?' We hear you ask...
For those who have been living under a rock - we're wallowing in unprecedented levels of greenhouse gasses. Scientists are trying to find solutions quick smart to reduce the amount of Carbon Dioxide in our air to protect us from the drastic effects of Climate Change.
Enter - Carbon Sequestration; a natural or artificial process by which carbon dioxide is removed from the atmosphere.
Put basically - the goal is to absorb as much CO2 as quickly as possible. There are a number of different ways we can achieve this however it is thought that Sea Forest Regeneration may be the fastest option. Thrillingly, Scientists have found a way to grow Kelp (the fastest growing Tree in the world) right here in Australia.
"Do you see the ways that we need our reefs just like our trees along the shore?
And if it helps to know, half of what we breathe in for ourselves, is out of sight and on the ocean floor."
- Ziggy Alberts

Because we intend to cause no harm.
We apply this word to the treatment of the planet, people and the animals. Through out the life and production of our wares, there is to be no suffering in any capacity.
Because this isn't a movement exclusive to us. It requires a major shift in human behaviour in the way we produce and the way we consume.
